Rubya Hospital is proud to celebrate 69 years of dedicated healthcare service to the people of Muleba District and the greater Kagera region. Since its founding in 1956, Rubya Hospital has grown from a small mission hospital into a trusted regional health facility known for its commitment to quality care, compassion, and innovation.

This year marks not only a significant milestone in Rubya Hospital’s history but also a moment of reflection on nearly seven decades of lifesaving work, community partnerships, and healthcare advancement in rural Tanzania.

“Reaching 68 years is not just about longevity—it’s about the lives we’ve touched, the families we’ve supported, and the progress we’ve made in strengthening healthcare access in our region,”* said Fr. Wilson,  at Rubya Hospital.

Over the years, the hospital has introduced a wide range of services including:

* Comprehensive maternal and child health services
* General surgery and emergency care
* Specialized clinics (HIV/AIDS, TB, NCDs, etc.)
* Training for healthcare workers and community health education
* A recently launched **new website** to better connect with patients and partners
